01 Project Background
Developing good eating habits for a healthy mind and body is very important. We know these habits greatly affect our overall health and well-being, and our diet is related to many physical and mental health issues. So, we aim to design a fun mobile app that encourages people to eat healthier foods.
02 Obiectives & Goals
Healthy eating is essential to people's lives. Design a fun mobile app that encourages people to eat healthier foods.

04 User research
We conducted a small user study using questionnaires to understand the behavior of the average person when choosing a diet, and we also interviewed some people to understand their needs when looking for a healthy diet. The following are some interesting phenomena we found from the questionnaire:
User Insights
Unable to efficiently keep track of diet plans to make their diets healthier.
Many people struggle with finding a healthy diet that suits their needs.
Many people want to keep following the diet but don't know how to follow it effectively. They hope get through the diet quickly.
Many people don’t know which diet suits their body status and how they might conduct it correctly.
05 Personal
I compiled the survey results and turned these details into three personas to help the team better understand who we are designing for and what functions we should focus on in product development.
Emily | 28y | QA Engineer
Emily is a software engineer working for an e-commerce company. She wants to stay in shape because of sitting for long periods. However, she is an omnivore, so she doesn't know what foods to eat to keep her healthy.
Mina | 24y | Retail Sale
Mina is a retail clerk, and she is a vegetarian. She always cooks by herself, but sometimes when she wants to have dinner with friends, she can't quickly know where a vegetarian restaurant is.
Josh | 26y | Student
Josh is a college student currently studying business administration, and he likes to go to the gym after class to work out. He hopes to take in more nutrients in his diet because he cannot record his diet due to his busy work.
06 Problem Statement
A tech-savvy young professional needs to plan high-quality meals because it will help their body be healthy.
07 Goals and main user
Help young professionals find programs for their eating habits and increase the appeal of various foods labelled with nutrient content. With this design, they can have a healthy body.
08 Assumptions
The app recommends customized recipes and the map combines the category restaurants with vegan, pescatarian, whole-food, gluten-free… and so on to help users choose better nutrition.
Provide users with an analysis of their eating habits and functions. They should be able to log food intake and see their progress on an App that can track calories, fat, protein, and carbs.
09 How Might We
We vote on which solutions our group considers the most important and interesting. These are key in our ideation and solution phase.
10 Problem Solutions
Providing specific recipes for different diets, i.g. Keto cake recipe, vegetarian recipe...
Need a recommendation? Function. Help users to choose a meal or meal plan that suits them.
Building habits with users can record what they eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition to searching with keywords, they can also record by scanning barcodes.
11 Competitors' Research

12 Taskflows
Before starting visual design and page layout, I first sort out what is a reasonable information structure, so that users can quickly find the page they want to go to in our products.
13 Brand Book
14 Wireframe
I made wireframes so the team could visualize how each element and visual element would appear on the page, making the whole more concise and in line with the team's expectations.
15 High Fidelity
Sign up Screens
When new users sign up, the app will first ask for their basic information and then formulate a diet plan report for the user.
Major Screens
The home page will display the user's calorie and nutritional intake information when the user logs in. When the user adds food to the three meals, the system will automatically help calculate the nutritional data. In addition, users can also view the nutritional analysis of each food.
We also have a map function, and users can find restaurants that meet their dietary needs. In addition, the meal plan page helps users understand which meal plan is right for them. Finally, there is the recipe page, where we will display the diet recipes for the current festival, and there are also many healthy recipes for users to refer to.
16 How/what we have learned in this case?
> The idea that our group had planned initially worked out well for the app we designed.
> Users liked the overall design and a few aspects like the recipe page and the diversity of diets present on the app.
> The users faced a few technical difficulties while testing and their feedback made it. Clear to us how we can improve the navigation and functionality of the app.
> In conclusion, the ideation process worked well, but we lacked in some areas when it came to technical implementations.
